Seon Design Inc. will outfit Montgomery (Ala.) Area Transit System's (MATS) paratransit and fixed-route fleet with a total of 45 systems to help promote a safe environment for both passengers and employees.

MATS utilized a Seon demo unit on one of its buses for a full year before choosing Seon as the company's mobile surveillance system provider.

MATS provides fixed-route and paratransit service within city limits of Montgomery. Thirty-four buses serve 16 fixed routes. The fixed route system averages 4,500 trips daily, over approximately 4,000 daily route miles. The company's paratransit service provides 140 daily trips and totals approximately 43,000 annual trips with a fleet of 11 vehicles.
