SAN FRANCISCO — KRON reports that MUNI will keep the back doors of its 60 new trains shut until an investigation as to why a woman was caught in a railcar door and dragged off a MUNI platform earlier this month.
Video shows a woman who appeared to have her hand stuck in a closed door of one of the new MUNI light rail vehicles and then falling down onto the track.
MUNI said it is also deploying “ambassadors” to talk to customers and remind them to stay behind the yellow line. The message will also be reinforced by audio announcements in the subway.
The California Public Utilities Commission is also launching their own investigation into the safety of the new vehicles, KRON reports. For the full story, click here.
