BYD Canada announced that St. Albert Transit (STAT) received its second order of four K9 35-foot electric buses. STAT ordered a total of seven buses, the first three of which were delivered in May of 2017. With the delivery of four more buses, 10% of STAT’s fleet is fully-electric, making them the largest operator of zero-emission battery-electric buses in Canada.

The conversion to zero-emissions buses will assist the City of St. Albert in reaching the goals outlined in their Environmental Master Plan.

“We are grateful for the support we have from St. Albert’s management and team,”   said BYD Canada’s VP Ted Dowling. “We look forward to delivering more battery-electric, zero-emissions buses to St. Albert and Edmonton Metropolitan Region for years to come.”
