Quebec transit bus manufacturer Nova Bus was granted the Public Choice award at the Grands prix d’excellence en transport gala event organized by the Association québécoise des transports (AQTr). The award recognizes the Montreal City Mobility project, selected amongst 28 nominated projects, as part of which Nova Bus designed and delivered three full-electric buses and two quick-charge stations, which were commissioned in May 2017 by Société de transport de Montréal (STM).

The Public Choice award regroups all the projects nominated within each of the 11 categories of the Grands Prix de l’AQTr : Ambassador, Public Communications, Honor Jury Favorite, Environment, Infrastructures, Young Professional, Road Safety, Collective Transportation, Sustainable Mobility, Smart Mobility - STI, Winter Viability. This year, more than 750 people voted to elect their favorite project.

“It is a great honor for us to have won the Public Choice award. We are extremely happy to receive a prize that shows our efforts to improve the environmental performance of our products. This prize also reflects the trust people have in our beautiful project, and this is one of the best victories for us,” said Emmanuelle Toussaint, VP, legal, regulatory, and public affairs, for Nova Bus.
