COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) will interview three candidates this week in its efforts to name a new CEO, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
The agency's search committee will interview Emille Williams, COTA’s interim CEO since former CEO Curtis Stitt’s retirement in September; Richard Krisak, COO for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority; and Michael Ford, former CEO for the Southeast Michigan Regional Transit Authority in Detroit.
The new leader of the transit agency likely will determine if COTA remains a bus company, implements light rail or takes advantage of its SmartColumbus connections from last year's win of the federal Smart City Challenge, the report said.
