Seon announced its new line of high-definition hybrid video surveillance systems.

The new systems include the TH4, TH4C, and TH6 digital video recorders (DVR) and the HD1 and HD3 interior dome and outdoor wedge cameras. The hybrids are designed to be compatible with existing standard definition cameras and equip fleets with multiple high-definition camera angles.

The TH series of DVRs allows for any combination of standard and HD cameras to record audio and video at up to 30 frames-per-second simultaneously. Each TH DVR also comes equipped with up to 2 TB of memory to store recordings.

The TH6 system supports up to six HD cameras, at either 720p or 1080p, ultilizing SuperCaps technology to preserve video even in the event of a power loss. A second low-resolution video stream is recorded via SD card back-up. For school buses, the six cameras provide complete coverage of students seated in high-backed seats. The TH6 also offers a view out the front windshield for investigating collision claims.

The TH4 records 4 high-definition camera views at 720p and an SD card back-up for low-resolution video stream recording.

The TH4C is geared toward entry level surveillance, Type A school buses, and paratransit vehicles. It can record up to four HD cameras at 720p and features an SD card as primary storage for portability and convenience. The TH4C has a built-in G-sensor to record swerving, hard braking, or sharp turns.

The HD1Q and HD3Q interior dome cameras are designed to blend in with any bus interior while providing 720p and 1080p image resolution, respectively. They also feature infrared LEDs, wide dynamic range, and back-light compensation technology for low-light conditions.

The HD1W and HD3W outdoor wedge cameras are capable of recording 720p and 1080p video, respectively, allowing users to capture fine details such as license plates. Both feature weatherproof and vandal-resistant housing.

Seon's new suite will be compatible with older DVRs such as the Trooper and Explorer series. Existing Seon hard drive docking stations will also support TH6 and TH4 hard drives.
