Transdev announce that Jacquelyn Charles has been named GM for Fulton County, Ga.’s Dial-A-Ride Transportation Services (DARTS) contract with the Department of Aging and Youth Services in the Atlanta Metro region.

Charles is a 16-year transit veteran who started in fixed-route operations with Charlotte Area Transit Systems before transitioning into paratransit management. In her new role, she will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Dial-A-Ride operations and maintenance, including reservation management, scheduling and dispatch, and maintenance on the 51-vehicle fleet. DARTS’ senior transportation services provide 290,000 trips per year.

“Jacquelyn’s intricate knowledge of all aspects of paratransit and Dial-A-Ride operations will help us to meet customer needs and remain successful in Fulton County,” said Derrick Breun, VP of Transdev’s Southeast Region.

ulton County is the latest addition to Transdev’s Atlanta Metro-area contracts, augmenting its contracted operations for Cobb County, Gwinnett County, The City of Atlanta, and Georgia Regional Transportation Authority. Nationally, Transdev operates successful brokerage, paratransit and Dial-A-Ride operations in San Francisco, Baltimore, Seattle, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Long Island, and many other locations across the U.S.
