On Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 11:00 a.m. Pacific/2:00 p.m. Eastern, Q’Straint will hold its webinar “Emerging Trends in Wheelchair Transportation: Rearward-Facing Securement,” featuring its National Training Manager Darren Reaume.
Transportation providers face growing pressure to find solutions for rising liability, timely service, and dramatic increases in ADA ridership and costs in an evolving industry. As these challenges mount, evidence, research and recent technological advancements in rearward-facing wheelchair securement have shown it has exciting potential to alleviate many of these concerns, but until recently has remained a foreign concept in the U.S.
This presentation will explore developing ridership trends facing transit providers, offer an overview of the current research on rearward-facing securement, and examine how emerging technologies are addressing the previous shortcomings of primitive rearward-securement applications. We invite attendees to engage in a thought-provoking discussion about the ridership challenges they will be facing and what the newly available emerging technologies mean for the industry and the future of ADA transportation.
