The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) announced its newly elected 2016-2017 Executive Committee and Board of Directors at the 2016 APTA Annual Meeting on Sept. 10 in Los Angeles.

The new APTA chair is Doran J. Barnes, executive director, Foothill Transit, West Covina, Calif. Barnes, who is the executive director for the system succeeds Valarie J. McCall.

Nathaniel P. Ford, Sr., the CEO of Jacksonville Transportation Authority, Jacksonville, Fla., was elected vice chair, and Kim R. Green, executive director of business development for GENFARE of Elk Grove Village, Ill. will continue serving as elected secretary-treasurer.
