Transdev will begin bus and paratransit services for N.C.'s Concord Kannapolis Area Transit (Rider) system after the city council voted on the contract this spring.

The system serves 500,000 riders annually with seven fixed routes and additional ADA services. Transdev will manage the staff of 47, including 28 operators, and 12 revenue vehicles. Paratransit service, previously operated by Alamance County, will also fall under this new contract.

Transdev operated the contract for eight years before losing the bid in 2012. After a four-year hiatus we are pleased to begin operations again. The five-year contract begins July 1.
