PALM BEACH, Fla. — Palm Tran Connection’s Director has been demoted and its deputy director tendered his resignation after a scathing report found employees altered pickup and drop-off times, reports the Sun Sentinel.

During the past 14 months, as many as 46,000 inaccurate reports were made by Palm Tran Connection, a door-to-door service used by people with disabilities and the elderly, according to the Palm Beach County Office of Inspector General.

Palm Tran's Executive Director Clinton Forbes attached a 20-page report from a consultant he hired to review the Inspector General's report. The consultant's review differed on some of the Inspector General's findings, but also "uncovered several management issues which resulted in significant problems with day-to-day operations and management," according to Forbes.
