Quebec, Canada — A Quebec Court judge awarded $3,140 to a Société de Transport de Montréal (STM) paratransit client who was assaulted by another person during a trip in February 2013, the Montreal Gazette reports.
The client was reportedly punched in the face several times for no reason by another person being transported. The judge ruled that that STM, who said it had no prior information indicating the other client was aggressive, did not fulfill its obligations to get the client who was assaulted to his destination safely.
