SALT LAKE CITY — With a ballot measure to raise the sales tax to help pay for transportation just down the road in November, Utah Transit Authority leaders stressed they will not and cannot by law campaign for the measure, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

The agency added, though, that it can offer education about its benefits and outline how the extra funding could improve the transit system. If passed, the UTA could increase its revenues by 13%, or $39 million a year. For the full story, click here.
