NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Central Arkansas Transit Authority is adding 15 new compressed natural gas (CNG) buses, with its new Rock Region METRO branding, KUAR reported.

Executive Director Jarod Varner hopes the new brand will be the first step in improving public transit for the area, who cited the lack of a flexible, dedicated funding source has been the main obstacle to rapidly adjusting to customer needs and requests.

In addition to the 15 new buses, Rock Region METRO is also adding 30 new bus shelters, Wi-Fi on every vehicle and a mobile app for real-time bus arrival times to enhance the passenger experience. For the full story, click here.
