NEW YORK — The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is evaluating the Vision Quest pedestrian and bicyclist warning system created by Mobileye and Rosco Vision Systems, The Daily News reported.
The extra protection for drivers features cameras, which could be mounted inside and outside the bus. There are three displays — right, left and center — that alert a driver with sound and light to step on the brakes or turn. Outfitting cars with the system costs up to $1,500 and up to $10,000 for large vehicles.
