STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The state senate voted 48 to 11 passed a bill to extend and expand the bus lane camera program on bus routes in New York City, keeping the program going another five years and adding 10 additional Select Bus Service (SBS) lanes in the process, the Staten Island Advance reported.

Across all SBS corridors that have adopted bus lane cameras, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority found trip times decreasing by an average of 10% to 25%. For the full story, click here
