Eugene, Ore. — Lane Transit District will pay a North Carolina-based headhunter up to $44,500 to handle recruiting for the transit agency’s next GM, The Register-Guard reported.
GM Ron Kilcoyne announced his retirement in March after four years at the helm of LTD, stepping away from a 30-plus-year career in public transportation. His last day is Sept. 30.
Last week, the LTD Board met with invited community members to discuss and hone the characteristics they want to see in the next GM, which they expect to pick in October. The recruitment period is set to end Aug. 28, according to the Register-Guard. For the full story, click here.
