SEATTLE — With Sound Transit's new University Link Light Rail Extension set to open in March 2016, King County Metro is planning redesigning its bus routes servicing the University of Washington, while school officials plan on increasing the price for both its U-Pass program and parking, The Daily reported.

Once the line opens, some of King County’s bus routes will be deleted due to redundancy, however, the agency will increase frequencies and fine-tune some routes to better serve both the light rail line and the university.

Meanwhile, the price of a student U-PASS is set to increase for the first time in four years from $76 to $80 for the next academic year. For the full story, click here.
