PORTLAND, Ore — With TriMet’s MAX light rail Orange Line set to expand, the agency’s police division will add five officer and four contracted security patrols, the Portland Tribune reported.

The Orange Line will also expand TriMet’s extensive network of security and operational cameras by more than 230 fixed-location cameras and about 180 cameras on the new Type 5 trains.

TriMet Executive Director, Safety and Security, Harry Saporta last week announced the new cameras and will name a dedicated crime analyst as part of the new security-related positions and patrols in advance of the Orange Line opening on Sept. 12. For the full story, click here.
