4ONE selected Buffalo, N.Y.’s Engineered Composites Inc. (ECI), a multi-faceted custom molder, as its strategic supplier for its new bus-seating contract with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s New York City Transit (NYCT).

In this key role, ECI will manufacture hundreds of 4ONE’s Angel fiberglass passenger seats for NYCT’s order of 120 New Flyer Xcelsior™ heavy-duty buses.

The agreement with NYCT and 4ONE will help boost Buffalo’s economy by bringing critical, highly skilled and well-paying manufacturing jobs to the area.

“Investments in transportation equal jobs in the private sector and in this case we have a very direct link to the purchase of equipment in New York and job creation in Buffalo. This is a win-win for the riders in New York City and for our employment base in Buffalo,” said Ray Melleady, managing director, North America for 4ONE’s USSC.

Fire resistant, strong and lightweight, 4ONE’s Angel passenger heavy-duty transit seats’ rugged construction mean consistent shell thickness, uniform color and a long life with no maintenance worries.

The ADA-compliant Angel contains 4ONE’s exclusive knee-saver feature for increased hip-to-knee room for maximum comfort and top-notch ergonomic support.
