Albuquerque BRT project exploring full sponsorship

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — ABQ RIDE is looking into sponsorships not only for transit stations but also the entire bus rapid transit (BRT) line to help save taxpayers money, reported KRQE.

Albuquerque is looking to model its plan after the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority’s HealthLine, which is sponsored through a hospital partnership. ABQ RIDE said construction on ART could begin in May 2016 with an in-service date of September 2017. For the full story, click here.
