SEATTLE — The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) put out a request for bids for a vendor to replace bus shelters, benches, trash cans and informational signs on 300 blocks of the city, and in exchange, be allowed to install advertising, kirotv reported.

Until SDOT’s decision, advertising at bus shelters had been banned. The winner of the contract, which should be chosen by July, must also maintain the shelters. For the full story, click here.
