BOSTON — The icy cold weather is causing some delays on the Massachussets Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) commuter rails Thursday morning, WCVB5 reported.
Mac Daniel, spokesman for the company that operates the MBTA's commuter rail service, said there have been delays reported on all lines, adding that the biggest issue being reported is frozen switches and crews across the area are working to fix the problems, according to the news service.
Subway trains were stored in tunnels and maintenance facilities overnight to keep them warm and extra workers were assigned to respond to emergencies, MBTA officials said. For the full story, click here.
