DETROIT — Despite the launch of its new website this week, information about the Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan's (RTA) progress has been difficult to establish. In an interview with Metromode, the new CEO of the RTA, Michael Ford says the organization is in the process of creating policies and procedures, and finalizing its vision and mission.

The new website will enable the agency to communicate more effectively with the public and provide transparency, according to Ford. With regard to the 2016 referendum vote, he says the agency expects to launch an outreach campaign sometime in January, according to the report.

When asked when residents can expect to see tangible results, Ford says he's "hoping in the next couple of quarters we will be able to assemble some meaningful opportunities that will be noticed by the public," Metromode reported.
