HOUSTON — APTA President/CEO Michael Melaniphy wrote an editorial for The Observer calling for equality in the amount of commuter benefit taxes offered to public transportation users and drivers.

The parking benefit increased this year to $250, thanks to a cost-of-living adjustment implemented by the Internal Revenue Service, while the public-transportation benefit declined to $130. For the full story, click here.
