HENDERSON, Nevada — The city of Henderson is in negotiations with a nonprofit group to take over its senior transportation program, which was recommended for elimination due to costs, according to The Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The agreement with the Independent Transportation Network (ITN) is tentatively scheduled to go before the City Council on June 3 for approval. The city would subsidize the program for $50,000 per year so ITN would continue to transport the current 111 unique riders for the $1 fee. The city would also donate two transport vehicles, according to the tentative agreement, the report said. For the full story, click here.
