PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Christina H. Paxson, Brown University’s new president, won approval from the university’s governing board for a sweeping 10-year plan that includes further development of the East Side campus and continued expansion across the Providence River, with a comprehensive transportation plan to connect to Brown’s College Hill Campus core a key part of the plan, according to Providence Journal.

Paxon’s intent is to rely on several modes of transportation as it expands into the Jewelry District, including pedestrian and bicycles, to maintain the intimate, walkable feel of College Hill. For the full story, click here.
