SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) will launch its new pre-paid, reloadable electronic fare card on October 14, the agency’s blog Trains of Thought reported.

UTA is encouraging customers to switch from paying cash to using the fare card by allowing passengers to save up to 20% off the regular cash fare price for local and express buses, TRAX and FrontRunner rail services through March. The agency is also giving away cards preloaded with $15 at some stations. For the full story, click here.
