Ethics probe sought over lawmaker's opposition to Calif. HSR project

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A government watchdog Tuesday sought a congressional investigation into a California lawmaker's efforts to halt the state’s high-speed rail project, saying the freshman failed to tell colleagues that the project could affect the property values of his family’s Central Valley farmland, according to The Los Angeles Times.
