Brightline, the brand new higher speed train currently under construction in Florida, released images of the first passenger train shell built by Siemens. The photos show the coach car shell, which will soon make its way from the Siemens plant in California down to South Florida where service will begin in 2017. The 85-foot-long sheel, built by more than 70 employees, will carry 240 passengers. This vehicle is part of Brightline's initial five four-car train sets. The new rail service will provide quick and efficient transportation for travelers and commuters between Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Orlando. It will also take more than three million cars off the road.
