New Flyer lands Oregon statewide contract for transit buses

New Flyer was selected by the Oregon State Government as an approved supplier of heavy-duty low-floor transit buses to the State of Oregon Heavy-Duty Transit Bus Price Agreement.

The agreement was procured through the Oregon State Department of Transportation (ODOT) in collaboration with the Oregon Department of Administrative Services, and simplifies the procurement of heavy-duty low-floor transit buses for state agencies of Oregon, Oregon Cooperative Procurement Program participants, authorized members to the State of Washington Master Contracts Usage Agreement, and upon execution of a cooperative interstate agreement with the State of Oregon, approved agencies within the State of Idaho, and State of Alaska.

The agreement is for up to five years, including a base term of two years with options to extend for three additional one-year periods. Under the contract, New Flyer can provide a wide range of products on its proven Xcelsior® platform, including 35-foot and 40-foot buses offered in zero-emission electric, low-emission diesel-electric hybrid, low-emission compressed natural gas, and clean diesel propulsions.

Q'STRAINT/Sure-Lok partners with All Wheels Up

Q’STRAINT/Sure-Lok is forming a strategic partnership involving trade show promotions with All Wheels Up, a non-profit advocacy group that promotes airline wheelchair securement.

All Wheels Up plans to achieve their goal of lobbying for standardized airline wheelchair securement regulation by performing quality assurance measures in the form of wheelchair crash tests, working closely with airline regulators like the FAA, creating awareness through video airline securement simulation production, and completing feasibility studies for airport safety.

In the partnership, Q’STRAINT will be matching every $5 to All Wheels Up, for everyone who visits the Q’STRAINT tradeshow booth and participates in the Elements Matching Game — a popular arcade game based on the periodic table.
