Richard Sullivan

Long time motorcoach and transit executive Richard Sullivan passed away Dec. 2 in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. He was 68.

Sullivan was most recently VP, marketing & sales, with Complete Coach Works (CCW) and its affiliated companies, Shuttle Bus Leasing (SBL) and Transit Sales International (TSI). He started his career at Transit Equipment Manufacturing Co. in 1975 in Chicago. He moved to Los Angeles and worked in sales for American Coach Sales selling Eagle coaches, where he was famous for his hospitality suite shrimp cookouts. Sullivan then became VP, sales, for Prevost and led the company into record shell sales — raw coaches which were converted into motorhomes.  He was then instrumental in helping with the growth of CCW and its affiliates, where he became known as the “sausage meister” at industry hospitality events. 

“Richard and I always clicked on deals and it was a true pleasure to have him part of the team,” said Dale Carson, president of CCW, SBL, and TSI stated,

Sullivan is survived by his wife Tena, two children, and two grandchildren.
