Transdev is launching a new partnership with Portland, Ore.’s TriMet to operate its LIFT Paratransit services. Transdev assumed the operations of the paratransit system on October 1, 2021.

TriMet is the public agency that operates mass transit and paratransit for most of the Portland metropolitan area. LIFT is TriMet’s paratransit shared-ride service.

As part of this contract, Transdev is operating TriMet’s fleet of 226 paratransit vehicles with more than 200 employees.

“We look forward to bringing the ‘Transdev difference’ to this new partnership,” said Ron Bushman, Transdev’s RVP for the Northwest Region. “We hold safety as our top priority and through the programs we leverage, like DriveCam and Mobileye, our drivers are given the tools to help them, and in turn our passengers and communities, have an even safer experience on the roads.”
