LYNX announced that Tiffany Hawkins has been named the new CEO of the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) in Orlando, Fla.

Hawkins served as interim CEO since August 2022 when former CEO James (Jim) E. Harrison unexpectedly passed away.

Hawkins has worked with or for the agency for more than 20 years most recently as chief administrative officer overseeing the planning, marketing, grants, and government affairs teams. With more than 25 years in Central Florida, she also has held positions in the private sector and Osceola County government.

“First I would like to thank the board for giving me the opportunity to lead this great agency,” said Hawkins. “To the LYNX family thank you for trusting me and for carrying out Jim’s legacy these past six months. Your commitment to the Central Florida community amazes me every single day. I am grateful for all of you.”

Hawkins has served as president of the WTS Central Florida Chapter and as a board member for the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando and the Community Hope Center board of directors.

“Tiffany stepped into an unfortunate situation when her friend and mentor passed away last summer. She brought a calming leadership presence during a difficult time in the interim, including dealing with two hurricanes,” said Jerry L. Demings, Orange County mayor. “Now is the right time to make our commitment to her as a board, just as she has done on a daily basis to agency employees and riders.”
