Stadler to Host Railway Interior Innovation Summit 2023

RedCabin announced the Railway Interior Innovation Summit 2023 will take place from April 18-20 at Alumni House in Salt Lake City, hosted by Stadler.

The three-day in-person summit will see industry professionals develop and unveil collaborative partnerships and interior innovations that enhance the onboard experience, according to RedCabin's news release.

The first day of the summit will have a special bus interior focus, exploring the synergy between the two modes of transport and next-generation interior designs for long-distance bus travel in the U.S. Sessions will be led by organizations, including GILLIG, FlixBus, DART, and Utah Transit Authority.

The final two days of the summit will then see delegates explore the challenges and trends in the railway interior industry, including sustainability, digitalization, accessibility, onboard safety, and premium passenger experiences. Sessions include:

• Keynote presentation on the future of mass rapid transit interiors by Utah Transit Authority.
• Panel discussion on enhancing regional train interiors featuring Amtrak, Brightline, Siemens Mobility, Sekisui Kydex, and Priestmangoode.
• Focus sessions on sustainable materials, modular interior designs, and flexible seating layouts.
• Working groups exploring the future of light rail, underground trains, and high-speed rail interiors.

The final day of the summit will see delegates treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Stadler facility, including assembly and production areas where trains for Caltrain and MARTA are produced.
