TORONTO — Following the unprecedented move of dissolving the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and announcing a new slate of commissioners, city officials are set to move forward into the final debate on Mayor Rob Ford's subway plan, according to Inside Toronto.

The Toronto Council's decision to reconstitute the commission came in the wake of the move by a group of Ford loyalists to fire the TTC GM Gary Webster, who had spoken out against Ford's subway plan at a special council meeting  last month. For the full story, click here.
