The Calif.-based Butte County Association of Governments (BCAG) board of directors unanimously voted to award Veolia Transportation a new renewal contract.

The new five-year contract began July 1, 2012 and has two one-year options.

Veolia has been the service operator for BCAG providing both fixed-route and paratransit service for more than 25 years. The company employs approximately 110 local workers and operates 80 vehicles.
