LAKELAND, Fla. — During a major route change, the Lakeland Area Mass Transit District may close up to 500 of its 1,000 Citrus Connection bus stops, because many of the locations are unnecessarily close together, and it is too costly to make the stops compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the interim director of the Citrus Connection told TheLedger.com.
