BOSTON — Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority GM Richard Davey has been tapped as the new Secretary of Transportation for Massachusetts, the AP reported. Davey, who will take over the position on Sept. 1, will be at the helm of the state's huge transportation bureaucracy with oversight of key public assets including highways, public transportation and airports.
