SAN ANTONIO — VIA Metropolitan Transit CEO/President Keith Parker, who helped usher in San Antonio's first modern rail plan and transform the agency's image, is in the running for the top job at Atlanta's public transit system, according to a San Antonio News-Express story.

Parker confirmed Monday that he's a candidate for CEO and GM of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA). Beverly A. Scott, MARTA's current CEO, plans to step down at the year's end.
