HALIFAX, Nova Scotia — Metro Transit has yet to implement regular onboard announcements of stops that could help visually impaired passengers, nearly one year after releasing its accessibility report, according to the Herald News.

Halifax regional council approved the report, but Metro Transit says changes are still three to five years away, mostly due to cost. However, failing to announce stops makes the transit system less accessible for riders with visual impairments. For the full story, click here.
