Drop in N.J. casino revenue impacts senior transportation

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Seniors and disabled residents who use subsidized community transportation throughout New Jersey’s 21 counties could soon be left stranded due to funding cuts, The Star-Ledger reported.

Funding for the special transportation has been cut for five years in a row because it is tied to revenue from Atlantic City casinos — which has dropped by 30% since 2011, as gambling proliferates in nearby states. For the full story, click here.
