TUCSON, Ariz. — The City Council voted unanimously to scrap a proposal to boost the cost per ride for Sun Van’s paratransit services from $1 per trip to $3, according to an Arizona Daily Star report.

The decision was preceded by an hour of heart-wrenching testimony from parents of disabled children, advocates from local nonprofits and low-income senior citizens dependent on the paratransit service. For the full story, click here.
