NORFOLK, Va. — In an effort to improve commuting options across the region, Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) is seeking input from the community through a newly launched website.
HRT spokesman Tom Holden said the program is designed to "kick start a conversation about what regional transportation options the public wants." Residents can share their ideas, criticisms and other thoughts at the Connect Hampton Roads website, which goes live on Thursday, the Daily Press reported.
“We’ve looked at transit… systems throughout the world. We have found a structural deficiency,” said HRT President/CEO William Harrell. “This is about providing the appropriate level of resources to transit throughout the region."
