OCTA CEO: Federal transportation bill on the right track

Bus operators and cyclists, keeping an eye on each other

Several months ago I was asked to provide my opinion regarding the use of the horn by bus operators around bicyclists. Is public transit security tough enough?

Yesterday, U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer proposed "no-ride" lists for U.S. domestic trains, similar to the no-fly lists used in aviation, following intelligence discovered at Osama bin Laden's hideout in Pakistan.

Raising the bar with bus simulation training

Readers most likely are not familiar with my past work with driver training simulation, so I want to devote this month's space to a brief description of what I discovered working with this technology and what it enabled me to do within the training department I was affiliated with.
