Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (WMATA) contracted with North American Bus Industries (NABI) to provide 22 new 60-foot BRT buses.

WMATA’s new BRT articulated buses are built around clean compressed natural gas (CNG) powerplants.

The BRTs will carry customers on a bus line in the District of Columbia and suburban Maryland. Two buses will also be used for a demonstration project on a bus line to Washington Dulles International Airport.
