River Valley Metro records highest ridership month

In March, Bourbonnais Ill.-based River Valley Metro recorded their highest month ever in ridership, with 75,997 rides, exceeding the old record by more than 3,500 rides in a single month.

With ridership numbers like this Metro will exceed 830,000 rides this fiscal year; 100,000 more rides than last year, according to the agency.

"These numbers also demonstrate the great need for public transportation in our area," commented Managing Director Robert Hoffmann.
