WASHINGTON, D.C. — Metro transit police have confiscated more firearms from riders in the past two years, than the last 12 years combined, according to new transit agency data. Police recovered 65 weapons last year marking a huge spike from the 21 seized in 2009, the Washington Examiner reported.
