LOS ANGELES — Upon beginning his new role as chairman of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (METRO), Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa plans to add at least five more bus-only lanes along major L.A. streets, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Villaraigosa, who has not yet targeted corridors that would receive the bus lanes, said the lanes would help give Los Angeles a "world-class transportation system." For the full story, click here.
