BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — A new pilot program is in the works that is expected to save the Broward school district in transportation costs by allowing high schoolers to use county transit buses along their existing routes. The school district would pay the county for the service and ultimately could retire some of the yellow school buses from the fleet, according to a SunSentinal.com report.

Officials hope to test it with a few high school routes this fall. For the full story, click here.
